Kalsarp Yog implies many meanings in Sanskrit, but there is danger and a threat to life associated with the word. Of its many meanings, we can safely conclude that Kal means time, and Sarp means snake or serpent. Kalsarp Yog can cast its inauspicious shadow over property, finances and health. If Kalsarp Yog  is not thwarted, its influence makes the simplest of works, the most difficult to perform.

Kalsarp yog is more dangerous than other malefic yoga. Kalsarp Yog effects a person till 47 years and some time throughout his life, its depend upon the position of Kalsarp yog. If all the planets are placed between Dragon’s-head (Rahu) and Dragon’s- tail (Ketu), it is considered to be a Kalsarp yoga.

The Kalsarp Yog is formed when all the planets are situated between Rahu & Ketu. The moon’s north node and the moon’s south node Kalsarp Yoga is formed. Complete Kalsarp yoga is formed only when half of the chart is unoccupied by planets. Even if one planet is outside the Rahu Ketu Axis there is no Kalsarp Yoga.
